Go Wild Pattern, Vera Bradley 2013

Hello Friends,

I do have some crochet goodies to share but unfortunately I am having some trouble getting the photos loaded to my computer. So, I am going to share another Vera Bradley 2013 sneak peak. This one is Go Wild!

To me, this doesn't look like the typical Vera pattern. It is light and fluffy and looks neat. I like the black, gray, and yellow hues but this is one of those patterns that will get too dirty for my liking since it has a white background.

So there you have it, a second Spring 2013 pattern for Vera Bradley! You may find some on ebay from people who were able to buy them at a Sneak Preview sale.

No baby yet. 16 days to my due date, she is moving around A LOT and I have been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions but other than that all is well.

Happy Wednesday,
xoxo Susan

Vera Bradley Winter/Spring 2013 Jazzy Blooms

Hello Friends,

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I do not have any crochet progress to share but I do have a sneak peak at one of the 2013 Winter/Spring Vera Bradley patterns. I think four new patterns will be coming out in the beginning of the new year in 2013 and Jazzy Blooms is the first one I have to share.

I think this pattern looks lovely. Not sure if I will run out and grab anything in it, but it looks pretty. Now that I have so many Veras I try to be very selective in what I purchase. We also have a Vera Bradley Outlet store near me which makes it extra difficult to control my desire to buy more and more Veras at great prices!

Happy Thursday,
xoxo Susan

Vera Bradley New Patterns Spring 2012 - Ellie Blue and Camellia!

Hello Friends,

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas. With the holidays and end of the semester business, I realized I did not share any photos of new Vera Bradley patterns. For all of the Vera Bradley fans out there, I have two sneak peak patterns to show you. I forgot I had these and I meant to share them many months ago.

These are for Spring 2012 and are not not out in stores yet. The release date is January 19th, 2012. You may be able to find someone selling them on ebay if they purchased one at a sneak peak preview at a Vera Bradley store or retailer.

The first one is called Ellie Blue. I think this one looks nice.

The second one I have is called Camellia. I think it is a nice black and white with shades of gray bag. This black and white one looks like it be better than some previous black and white ones because there is more black and gray in it - less to get dirty.

I hope you enjoy the sneak peak even thought it is not as early as I like to post them. Also, if you want to see the other two colors, click here for a youtube video from OhMyVera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtaRE8PLBww

Happy Day!

Another Vera Bradley Sneak Peak Winter 2012 Rhythm & Blues

Hello Lovelies,

Here is the third sneak peak Vera Bradley pattern to come out for the Winter 2012 collections. This one is called Rhythm & Blues. I think this is a nice pattern, not sure if I will make a purchase in this pattern but I am satisfied with it. Seeing it in person will be the deciding factor. I did see two of the patterns for Spring 2012 already -- they are just coming out faster than I can process. I do really like the two that I saw and promise to provide a sneak peak of those too.

Truthfully, aside from the Tea Garden, which I really like, I think the Spring 2012 ones are better than the winter ones. This has been happening a lot lately! Which is good, I am so disappointed when a line is released and I do not care very much for any of them. So, this is the third one of the four, remember a few weeks back we saw Floral Nightingale.

I am hoping to get in some crochet time this evening. I ordered the book Crochet Bouquet and want to try making some new flowers!!
I hope your weekend is going well.

Vera Bradley Winter 2012 Tea Garden

Hello Friends,
I am long over due for a post, and I have not had time to take photos of my newest creation. Please check back to see the new cowl I whipped up!

For now I will share another speak peak at one of the Winter Vera Bradley patterns coming out for Winter 2012. I say 2012 but technically winter begins in December of 2011. So I suppose if I wanted to be accurate, I would state 2011-2012.

Today I am sharing Tea Garden. This was the name of one of the older patterns, but this is a NEW version of Tea Garden.

I must say, I usually am not completely in love with the larger patterns, but I really do love this one. I just noticed the Spring 2012 patterns have been "speak peaked" so I will hurry up and get the other two Winter ones out soon.

I hope you are having a fabulous week. More to come soon!

Vera Bradley Winter 2012 Floral Nightingale

Hello Friends,

I have had a busy week this week as we are wrapping up the summer semester so I have not been posting. Last week the Fall 2011 Vera Bradley patterns were released in stores and online. I want to share with you a sneak peak at the patterns coming out for Winter 2012 (or Winter 2011-2012, depending on how you like to think of it). Four patterns will be released and they are lovely! I do think the four released last week were great though.

Vera Bradley has been releasing purple for the last few years and the winter line will be no different. This pattern is sure to be a pleaser for the purple lovers out there. Stayed tuned for a sneak peak of the other three patterns over the next few weeks.

This weekend will be filled with grading so I can get all of my students' grades submitted by Tuesday at noon when they are due. I will sneak in as much crochet as possible. My giant granny wants to grow.

The Last One - Vera Bradley Pattern Fall 2011 Safari Sunset

Good Morning Lovelies,

I did finish the baby blanket but I am running short on time so I won't be able to show you the photos until tomorrow. You are going to love it!
So, I am going to give the sneak pick at the fourth Vera Bradley Pattern for the Fall 2011 release. The final one is called Safari Sunset and some people say it is similar to the Kensington a few years back (old fall brown pattern).

I like this pattern, but I don't think I will be purchasing this one... unless of course it looks super great in person.
Well there you have it, sorry for such a short post. I will be back later on this evening with my Circle of Friends Baby Blanket photos.

Vera Bradley Fall 2011 Pattern - Happy Snails

Hello,

I hope your weekend is lovely and you are able to take some time to do whatever you love to do. I am working away at the Japanese flower blanket. I have all of the white centers completed, now I just have to add the petals. Today I am going to share another Fall 2011 Vera Bradley pattern - Happy Snails.

Happy Snails Pattern
I don't really see any snails on the main outside pattern but the border and pattern for inside bags has little snails on it.
Inside of the Bag Pattern for Happy Snails
I really like this pattern. I can already picture my mom walking around with her Happy Snails purse on her shoulder. As a flower lover I like this flower pattern (this is not always true with other Vera patterns). Which Fall 2011 pattern is your favorite? I still have to show you the fourth pattern. Sometime this week I will be sure to share it.

Well, the temperature is 85 degrees F (29 degres C) so I am off to continue working outside on the screened lanai. The breeze is perfect and the spring airs smells and feels fantastics.  I love Florida!

Vera Bradley Fall 2011 Pattern - Mocha Rouge

Good Morning Lovelies,

As I forewarned, this has been a busy week and I have not been able to do any crocheting (hopefully this weekend I can make up for it). So, today I am going to give another sneak peak at one of the Vera Bradley Fall 2011 Patterns. Yesterday the Summer 2011 patterns hit the stores. Did you go and check them out? Unfortunately I was not able to get out to see them yet, another thing on the list for this weekend.

Last week I shared Plum Petals, which is a nice purple-y pattern. Today I am sharing Mocha Rouge. This one has brown back tones and white, light pink, and dark pink flowers. I suspect this one will be very popular with young women and girls. Very cute!

I like this pattern and look forward to seeing how it looks on all of the different shaped bags. The insight of the bag is cute too. What do you think?
I must run to finish off the week at work. I look forward to relaxing on the lanai and crocheting very soon...

Vera Bradley Fall 2011 Pattern - Plum Petals

Hello Ladies,

Well, here we go.... I am going to start posting the Fall 2011 Vera Bradley patterns. I was going to wait until the Spring ones come out (next week!) but so many people have been checking around for the fall ones and I just can't hold my own excitement in any longer, I want to share them with you.

So, today is the first one, Plum Petals. I really like this pattern inside and out. Even those who don't usually like purple may find this one to be nice. I know some people commented on the fall colors not being "fall" enough. I guess I am lucky because in Florida we don't really have a fall/autumn - although it is what I miss the most about not living up north.

Upon my first sight of this pattern I instantly wanted to add it to my collection, and I think I still will, but I am not sure which bag I will purchase this pattern in. I am not sure about new bags coming out in the fall, just the patterns. I like the other three patterns as well, but this one is one of my favs.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the extra sneak preview of the Vera Bradley Fall 2011 collection. I will display the other three as the weeks go on. My schedule has limited my crochet time this week so you just may get another sneak peak before the week ends.
Have a fabulous day,
xoxo Susan

Vera Bradley Summer 2011 Pattern Watercolor

Good Morning Ladies,

I feel very tired this morning, maybe because I haven't really had time to crochet in three whole days! I did add some rows to baby McKenna's hat yesterday morning, but other than that I haven't been able to work on anything. After my conference call this morning I will be spending time today for some much needed relaxation and crochet time -- I am on spring break right? For those of you who may not be familiar with the term spring break, it is our middle of the semester "holiday" at my university. We get a week off at my university for spring break. Although I don't really have the whole week off from teaching, I do have to go into work on Friday to make a presentation to students who are on an alternative semester schedule.

Well the Vera Bradley Summer 2011 patterns are receiving so many views I just cannot believe it. I used to always search around to see what was coming next so I am happy to be able to provide a sneak preview for everyone, although it does seem like many people have samples of the little cosmetic bags out there on the world wide web. Today is the last pattern for Summer 2011, available online and in stores on March 24th (correct, I saw the date on OhMyVera's blog this moring). The pattern is called Watercolor.

If you want to see any of the other patterns, I have posted them over the last couple of weeks: English Meadow, Daisy Deco, and Viva la Vera. I really like Water color but I am not sure if I will purchase a bag in this pattern. I really like all four patterns for Summer 2011. Sometimes there are patterns I am not a big fan of but this go around I think they are all nice. Now, I have a surprise!!! Yesterday I saw the Fall 2011 Vera Bradley patterns, and ladies - ALL four are AMAZING. I love all four of them. I can't believe it. Stay tuned for upcoming posts for the Fall 2011 Vera Bradley patterns. Now that I saw the four fall patterns I am not sure if I will purchase any summer ones because I really want to purchase one bag in each of the four fall ones. Decisions, decisions....

Well all of the flowers on the Vera Bags remind me I need to get cracking on crocheting more flowers for my flower projects to share on the flower bed blog. Please check out The Flower Bed blog to see all of the beautiful flowers all of the ladies have been making.
Happy Wednesday!

Vera Bradley Summer 2011 Pattern Deco Daisy

Hello Out There,
I've been working on my garden granny circle (white connect-as-you-go). I've decided weaving in the ends for each circle/square takes just as long as crocheting each circle/square. I am very happy with the way it looks, I just hope the weaved in ends stay put. I may give it as a gift, I am not sure yet, I don't know if I will be able to part with my first one. My mom has indicated she would love one - she still needs to decide where she would like to place it or use it so I know the size to make. I promise a crochet photo will come tomorrow!
Here is another sneak peak at one of the Summer 2011 Vera Bradley Pattern - Deco Daisy. I like the pattern but I am not sure if I will purchase anything in this pattern. I am a fan of red though. What do you think about this pattern?

The inside the bag pattern looks great! I think many people will like the inside. It will be interesting to see how many people get this one. Where I live in Florida Vera Bradley bags are pretty popular. Our climate allows for fabric bags to be used all year round (no snow here). I suspect Viva la Vera will be the most popular but this one may be of interest to the younger crowd of ladies. I can see high schools filled with girls carrying Deco Daisy and Viva la Vera.

Vera Bradley Summer 2011 Pattern Viva la Vera

Hello Friends,
Many people have been viewing the sneak peak of the English Meadow Vera Bradley pattern I featured as my inspiration for my granny stripe, so I wanted to share the rest of the patterns. Today is Viva la Vera, which is expected to be a best seller by the Vera folks. What do you think? I like it!

Viva la Vera Pattern

The pattern has a variety of colors and will go with a lot of things (if you are a gal who likes to coordinate). Although I really liked the past few releases of patterns, I didn't purchase any for the recent Spring ones. I originally thought I would but after seeing these ones a few months ago, I wanted to wait. There is a purple one too which I will show you next time. Remember these are not for sale yet online or in stores (unless you can get it at a sneak peak event), they should be available in Late March/Early April 2011. Enjoy!

Vera Bradley English Meadow Summer 2011 inspiration!!

Gooood Morning,
I forgot to share with you that baby D arrived (my friend Gina's baby)! Her name is McKenna Jordyn. Gina (mom) and baby are both doing well. They will be coming home from the hospital tomorrow. Next week I will venture up to see them (and sneak in lots of photos of baby McKenna with crochet stuff).

Well today I am sharing my granny stripe inspiration with you. I am a big fan of Vera Bradley and I was able to get a sneak peak at the Summer 2011 patterns scheduled to hit stores in April. One of the patterns is called English Meadow.

My blanket does have some darker blues and greens in it. I think some of them look even darker than usually because they are next to some of the lighter hues. If I were to make another one, I think I would try to stick with all lighter colors, but I am pretty happy with the ones I have in there right now.

I really enjoy working on the granny stripe because each row doesn't take to long. I did not make it very wide, you can see the width of the blanket while laying on a queen size bed. I didn't make it for queen size bed, I just sort of made it wide enough to be able to cover one person nicely while cozy-ied up on a sofa. The ripple blanket takes much longer for each row because the rows are not straight across, they ripple up and down. The granny stripe is less counting and re-doing if you miscount and smooth sailing across each row.
I do have swatches of the other new Vera Bradley patterns for April 2011. If people want to see them I can show them - but I won't have a crochet project to match each one, haha. At least not yet...

Well I hope you have a fabulous day - we are halfway to the weekend!
XOXO Susan
