Thank you for stopping by. For the past few years I have been wanting to get a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and now, I finally have one!
Since I moved to Florida 6 years ago, I never had a mixer (even a hand held one). I am not sure what I have been waiting for really, I think for some more room in my kitchen to store things. Which brings me to another wonderful thing to share, but in a little bit.
Back to my mixer. I finally decided to get one so I could make some yummy goodies for the holidays (rather than wait until after the holidays for the purchase).
I went with red to add some color to my kitchen. This one is the 5 quart Artisan that tilts. I asked my pastry chef and best pal Colleen which she recommends and she said the tilt is helpful, but you need to make sure you have room for it to tilt up (cupboards may get in the way). Luckily, my cupboards had enough room for the tilt. It also came with the four attachments in the photos
So, I made some bread for my first use of the machine. I used the recipe in the book that came with the mixer, and I think it turned out pretty good.
My other surprise and secret I have been keeping is.... we are building a new house!
The builders broke grounds many weeks ago, but you will have to wait to see the progress photos, it is almost 1:00am and I have an early morning meeting. The builders are on schedule and we should be able to move in at the end of January! I am already dreaming of a crochet/knit group in my new community - they have many other activities weekly but no knit/crochet group yet. Good thing I am moving there :)
